  • Smokehead

    Islay Single Malt Whisky

    Domestic

Smokehead Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is intensely rich yet subtly sweet. With immense smoke and notes of sea salt and spice, this is a vigorous whisky that stands out from the crowd. A whisky that’s uncompromising, unexpected and defiantly different, Smokehead embodies a wild spirit that’s custom built for outliers.

    Tasting Notes:
Nose: The aroma of something powerful and fiery awaiting you. Thick, heavy woodsmoke. Rich, earthy peat. Extremes of spice and sweetness. Fresh lemon, zesty ginger, rich plum jam.

Taste: An explosion of breathtaking peppery, peaty heat, soothed by honeyed sweetness, before the smoke comes to the fore again.

Finish: Exotic spices and a curious citrus tang of mandarin, both lulling you into a false sense of calm as the peat roars back to hit your senses again.

  • Smokehead Rum Riot

    Islay Single Malt Whisky

    Travel Retail Exclusive

When rich, peaty, salty Smokehead from Islay collides with spicy, sweet Caribbean rum casks, carnage is inevitable. There's a spirited flavour fight going on and you've got a front row seat. This is a whisky for the fearless, not the fear mongers. This is the unexpected. This is anarchy bottled.

    Tasting Notes:
Nose: Fiery peat kicks things off, naturally. But then comes a sweetness - burnt marshmallows, charred pineapple, banana and... bacon? We warned you this was carnage.

Taste: You're in the thick of it now. A briny, oily, intense smoke hits hard but medics are on the scene quickly with a spoonful of honey and lemon.

Finish: And, when the dust settles, the smoky dying embers of toasted oak is all that remains. Along with just a hint of a fruity aftermath.

  • Smokehead Extra Rare

    Islay Single Malt Whisky

    Travel Retail Exclusive

This Islay single malt is a smoky heavyweight of the whisky world. A colossus of clashing tastes, bigger and bolder than most. Extra Rare is a match up of unexpected flavours. Ginger and plum jam. Lemon and cracked pepper. Thick oily smoke and slabs of earthy peat. This divisive whisky is definitely not for everyone and is only available as a travel retail exclusive.

    Tasting Notes:
Nose: Heavy smoke and peat. Amazing richness. Lemon, fresh ginger, plum jam. And a salty and spicy kick to boot.

Taste: Packs a punch and hits the palate all at once with cocoa, peat and some honey sweetness. Then explodes with peppery spice before a light sweetness and even more peat fill your mouth.

Finish: Even more peat, spice, mandarin - then dries up. When you think it’s all over the peat comes back to hit you again.
