Edinburgh flavoured Gins launched in India.

Ian Macleod Distilleries India has launched Edinburgh Gin Rhubarb & Ginger flavoured gin, widely popular worldwide as Rhubarb Gin, in India this year. Bottled at 40%, this perfectly balanced juniper-forward pale pink coloured gin is full of natural flavour. EG Rhubarb & Ginger has a pleasant balance of sweet, tangy from rhubarb and lingering spice finish from ginger, making it an excellent choice to be had on rocks or with a premium tonic water and definitely complemented with a slice of grapefruit.

Interestingly this delicious gin is crafted from our core Edinburgh Classic London dry Gin, by macerating Rhubarb & Ginger to extract the beautiful colour and flavours, resulting in an aromatic Gin with subtle sweetness; complimented by warm spicy ginger notes. Unlike Vodka and Rum, where India has witnessed a wide array of flavours both in Domestic & Imported segment, flavoured Gins is a completely new market waiting to be explored. Flavoured Gin is an evolved market abroad especially Europe, but its first time that a premium craft flavoured Gins has made its entry into the Indian gin scene.

Additionally, a new flavour (Gooseberry & Elderflower) is also going to be introduced soon following the launch of Edinburgh Rhubarb & Ginger Full-Strength Gin. These flavoured gins would be available in the Delhi, Haryana (Gurgaon), Goa and Karnataka (Bangalore) starting October 2020. Maharashtra (Mumbai), Chandigarh, Rajasthan & Telangana (Hyderabad) markets are also part of this year’s launch plan.
